Full Terms &
Conditions
This information is designed to describe what you can expect from
DAJ and defines areas of responsibility to provide you with peace
of mind.
While this information is intended to cover many areas it is not exhaustive.
A signed order confirmation represents acceptance of the terms and
conditions.
DAJ - DA Jewellery
Allergic Reactions - DAJ is not responsible for any adverse reaction
suffered by any client whilst wearing any item of jewellery. All earrings
are cleaned and sterilised prior to the date of hire.
Client - Denotes a person or persons entering into an agreement with
DAJ. These persons may be liable either individually or jointly and
severally depending of the number of persons deemed to be the client.
Working Days - Not weekends or Bank Holidays.
Overseas Travel - Clients who opt to hire our jewellery for an overseas
trip must provide DAJ with evidence of suitable insurance cover.
Discounts - Selecting 2 pieces or more for hire will only qualify
for a discount if they are within the same order.
Loyalty Cards - These are non-transferrable.
Identification - Clients must provide two forms of identification
such as a passport, drivers license or utility bill at the point of
order confirmation.
Deposit payments - These are levied at 50% of the total order price.
Default - Failure to pay for any loss, damage or the late return hire
charge within the 28 day period will result in additional charges
being levied.
(1) A penalty charge of £250
(2) Interest payment charges on any outstanding balance will be levied
daily at 10% above the Bank of Scotland base rate.
(3) DAJ reserve the right to instruct a debt collection agency to
act on their behalf. This will attract additonal charges and may result
in legal action.
Pricing - DAJ reserve the right to amend pricing up or down or to
amend discounts or introduce special offers at any time. This will
not apply to existing orders.
Pricing Structure - The star rating and pricing reflects the underlying
value of the item.
Currency - All fees are charged in British Pounds Sterling.
Failed Payment By Cheque - If a cheque is returned by a clients
bank as unpaid DAJ will seek to advise the client immediately. A fee
of £25 will be levied and clients are required to make payment
in full. Failure to do so will render the agreement void.
Ownership - All items remain the legal property of DAJ at all times
during the agreement.
Cancellation by DAJ - DAJ reserve the right to cancel any agreement
if they deem it appropriate. Clients will receive written notification.
Fast Track Orders - These must be paid for in full at the point of
order confirmation. Cash or cleared funds must be provided to DAJ.
Cancellation of Agreement - The deposit is non-refundable and clients
are asked to advise us as soon as possible of any cancellation.
Failure to Settle the Balance of Payment - The payment must be made
in full 10 working days prior to the date of hire. Failure to make
full payment will render the agreement void. The deposit is non-refundable.
Damage to Items of Jewellery - If damage is noted at the point
of collection the client will be advised immediately in writing. Clients
are liable for any and all repairs required. These repairs will be
completed by the jeweller nominated by DAJ. The cost of repairs must
be paid in full within 28 days of invoice. In cases were the damage
renders the item unsuitable for repair the client is liable for the
full replacement cost of the item. This cost will be based on the
independent valuation certificate retained by DAJ.
Loss of Jewellery - Any item which is lost whilst in the care of a
client must be paid for. The full replacement cost will be based on
the independent valuation certificate retained by DAJ. The cost of
the replacement must be paid in full within 28 days of invoice.
Failure to Return - All items must be available for collection at
the agreed date and time. If the item is returned the day after this
date the cost of the hire will be levied again. Delays which exceed
1 day will be regarded as theft and DAJ will report the matter to
the police.
Legal Disclaimer - In the unfortunate event that a dispute should
arise, this will be governed by Scots Law. |
